Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Whether you are a beginner looking to explore this exciting martial art, or a seasoned practitioner seeking to take your skills to the next level, our all levels class is the perfect fit for you. In this class, you’ll learn fundamental techniques such as takedowns, sweeps, submissions, and escapes. You’ll also develop a deep understanding of Jiu-Jitsu principles, including leverage, timing, and body mechanics.

At the same time, our instructors will challenge you with advanced techniques and strategies, helping you to push your limits and reach your goals. In addition to the physical benefits of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, our program also focuses on mental and emotional well-being. Gi & No-Gi

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling-based martial art that focuses on techniques to control and submit an opponent through the use of joint locks and chokes. Groundswell MMA offers both Gi and No-Gi classes to provide students with a well-rounded understanding of the sport. Gi classes involve wearing a traditional Jiu-Jitsu uniform, while No-Gi classes are conducted without the uniform. Both classes offer unique benefits, with Gi classes focusing on improving grip strength and No-Gi classes emphasizing speed and agility.

Advanced (BJJ, striking, No-Gi, MMA Striking) 

For students looking to take their skills to the next level, Groundswell MMA offers advanced classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, striking, No-Gi, and MMA Striking. These classes are designed for experienced martial artists who are looking to refine their techniques and compete at a higher level. The class structure varies from session to session, ensuring that students are challenged and exposed to different techniques, drills, and sparring partners. The curriculum is designed to develop the student’s overall martial arts skills, including strength, conditioning, agility, and mental toughness.

MMA Striking

MMA Striking classes focus on the striking aspect of mixed martial arts, including punches, kicks, elbows, and knees. Students will learn various techniques and combinations, as well as how to defend against strikes. Students will learn the proper mechanics of each striking technique, including how to generate power and speed. They will also learn various combinations of strikes that can be used in different scenarios and situations. Weapons Class

Technical Sparring
